My surfboard has a hole...?

my surfboard has a hole in the middle. it is as if you had nailed something in it. It is as deep as the halve of my finger, and almost the same width. Is it possible to repair it?

  1. go to a surf shop they might be able to fill it or somthing
  2. try the surf shop, you might be able to repair it. Most likely you will, but if the hole is bigger than I think, than you might have to get a new one.
  3. Yeah I would go with a product like Sun Cure if I didn't know someone who would give me a good deal and a timely repair. Local shapers who aren't as well known are a good bet, but try asking on Swaylock's (www.swaylocks.com) - a kick butt surfboard design forum for new DIY products.
  4. get some of that sealant that they use on the outside of the board and then just dump a bunch in there and smooth it out and let it dry and you should be good
  5. It's easy to fix. You can buy a small tube of Sun Cure at most any shop around for around $4. Use a Popsicle stick to push it into the hole and smooth over/remove the excess. It will start to harden in a few minutes. If you need more you can add it before the first layer is completely hard.
  6. Yeah, it is really easy to fix... just buy some sun cure, fill in the hole, let it dry, and then smooth it out... Click the link below on were to find some... its only 11 bucks...
  7. What ever you do...let the water that seeped into the board dry before you try and patch it . The water will never dry by itself when it gets into the board and sealed up. It may mean a couple of days not surfing on it, but its worth it. A waterlogged board is not very fun. Plus i have seen weird things happen to a board that had water seeped in and sealed. I would take it to a small surf shop, usually they know a guy who knows a guy that repairs them. Good luck Dudwell
