How do I buy a surfboard (Based on Height, Weight, and Skill)?
I am an experienced surfer at 5' 6½" and i weigh roughly 140 lbs I ride shortboards and I am looking for a board to take me through the final stages of my surfing career I have entered my first few contests and reached the finals in two. I feel it is my board holding me back from deep, carving turns would someone please give me the proper specs for a surfboard i am looking along the lines of a 5'10" surfboard and a thin not to wide board. I appreciate any help given thanks.

- Given that you say you are an experienced surfer and are doing contests I would recommend going to reputable local shaper or at least a local surf shop to answer this question. The wave conditions where you surf, or where you plan to surf, can make a big difference in the board design so your best bet is to get some local professional knowledge.
