What size surfboard should i ride ?

What size surfboard should i ride (I'm about 5'7 or 5'8) I weigh roughly 117 pounds and imlooking for a shortboard.

1. u should either get a long board about 6'2 or a short board about 5'3

This link tells you which board is best for your weight and level of experience: http://www.biltsurf.com/weight_chart.html This may not concern you, but be honest with yourself, if you don't think your experienced enough for a shortboard, don't get one because it will hold you back; you're better off with a fun-shape/minimal , if you feel you're ready for one then go for it! a shortboard should usually be around 2"-3" taller than the surfer.
3. it does not matter get a 5'7 i surf all the time it would work great 4 u
