Buying a Surfboard?

I am 6 "1" 160 pounds beginning surfer and was wondering what would be an ideal sized surfboard for me to buy?

go at least 8' long board bro. One mistake beginners make alot is going too small. they cant get up, they don't have fun and they get discouraged.
nothing smaller than 8 foot yeah and go with a foam board not a hardboard
dont get a foam board. thats stupid. ull regret it after two months of surfing. if u need a foam board to feel safe and able, then rent, dont buy. when u buy, get a used board, because u will have a better idea of what kind of board to get after atleast a year of surfing, then it's worth the investment for a new board...maybe. Good look.
