Surf in Malaysia? Kuantan? Board Rental and Access?
OK - I've heard you can surf on Malaysia's beautiful east coast. I've never been there myself but I want to make it up there to surf. I would love to get info on how you can rent a board and get to the beach (say, if I took a bus from Singapore) if you don't drive! It doesn't have to be Kuantan (though I read some places it's got the best surf), any good spot closer to Singapore would also be GREAT. I've asked on many surf forums but I haven't had any usable responses. I hope someone will help! Thank you! Thank you! In advance!

- try wannasurf.com its a great resource for finding surf sports, etc. throughout the world. you many also want to try surfline.com too but I would go to wannasurf first.
- this is among the best time to surf in malaysia.. its monsoon season & the tide are as high as 2-3 m.. .. the closest is desaru in JOhor & probably cherating.. in Kuantan
