Can you surf in Cape Verde?

I want to learn to surf, I hear Cape Verde is very nice, can you surf there though? Are there surf schools? What about board hire?

1. the answer is: YES, big times. please check out: wannaSurf.com. I spent one of my nicest times there. Pls. note, that cape verde belongs to the poorest countries on earth. so everything will be expensive. people are poor but soooooo friendly. on the smaller islands hardly nobody speaks english.
2. of course, just take a heavy duty board. good surfing.!!!! :) cool
