Surf and turf?

What exactly is surf and turf. I know it has somethin to do with steak but I'm not sure. And further more why is it called surf and turf? Thanks

A steak with some kind of seafood crab legs or lobster- jumbo shrimp- yum that sounds tasty

Surf and turf is an entree that consists of a steak and some type of seafood, like shrimp, crab legs, etc. served together on the same plate. It's called surf and turf because it has "surf" (seafood) and "turf" (beef, which lives on land) together. It's very good, I recommend it.
Surf and turf is seafood with horse meat.
