- the longer the easier, about 6'7 would be a good starter for 2-6 foot waves...good luck and be safe. Always surf witha partner.
- The longer the board the easier. I first started out with an eleven foot board.
- since you are a beginner get a 7ft board or something
- Try something between 7 and 8 feet
- Anything around 7' should be fine for now, especially if you'll be surfing small waves. You'll find a longer board easier to manuever.
- Your height dosen't matter too much when your a begginner, all you need is a large board. try a large chucky board abvout 8ft. You want a minimal, they are the easiest to stand up on as a begginner. Ask in the shop, and they will direct you towards the beginners boards. When you are more experienced you should by a shorter board of just under 6ft.
- depends on the kind of surfing you want to be doing. A long board is better if you just want to get out on the waves easily, but a short board is better if you want rip it up.
- get a longboard something around 7 to 8 feet would be good for you
- the longer the better. i am 5'6" and i have an 8 footer. and i have no problem controlling it.
- come to the dark side (longboarding) we have cookies (and cross stepping). no but seriously, its easier to learn on a longboard. i longboard and shortboard but go for like a 7'0" or bigger. p.s. i'm 5'2" and i ride and 8'0" and a 9'0" choice.
- I'd suggest you get an used one for starters. Anything between 6-7ft would be a good size for you. Also, don't forget these techniques: http://www.surfline.com/surfology/surfology_sschool_index.cfm
- Depends on what kind of waves you are going to be surfing. Since you're just starting, a longer board is good, say around 8 feet.
- if you're 5'4, your best bet would be to get 6'0 feet longboard and some sexwax.
- Get a big fish. They're thick and wide so it'll be easier to paddle and catch waves with. Check out 9:Fish Surfboards' Koi - http://www.9fishsurf.com/koi.html.
- the bigger the better
