Way is surfing the internet, is calles "surfing" ?
People say "surf" - way surf? what's it got to do with wave surfing?

- It is a metaphor. Because one is "riding" waves of both enthusiasm and information. See what I mean? :-))
- Well as much as real surfers surf, they surf on heaps of amounts of water. It is pretty much the same concept applied; when we access a website, heaps of amounts of data are being processed between the computer and the internet server. In addition, the internet is like an endless ocean and to get from one website to another, you can't just walk now can't you. So it's better to surf the web, that's why that term is frequently used by many people.
